V. Modal verbs and adverbials in sentences.

 

In a sentence, modal verbs and adverbs are usually placed before the coverb . Adverbs denoting inclusion or scope such as dōuor qunare placed before if they are about the subject or after the object before the predicate verb if they are about the object. An adverb modifying the verb can be placed before or before the verb.

He did not sell his car to his friend.

我不想把这件事告诉她。

I dont want to tell her about it.

 

3. Wǒmen dōu Zhōngwn zuy zuwn le. 

我们都把中文作业做完了。

We have all finished our Chinese homework.

 

4. Wǒmen Zhōngwn zuy dōu zuwn le. 

我们把中文作业都做完了。

We have finished all of our Chinese homework.

 

5. kǎoshjun fēichng rnzhēn de jiǎnch-le liǎng bin. 

他把考试卷非常认真地检查了两遍。

He very carefully checked the test paper twice.

 

6. rqng de wǒmen rngjn wūzili. 

她热情地把我们让进屋子里。

She warmly ushered us into the room.

 

7. mn yng l tuī-le xir, hish mi yǒu tuīkāi. 

我把门用力推了几下儿,还是没有推开。

I pushed the door hard a few times, but I still couldnt open it.
